One of our core objectives is to further agricultural education in our community. We love seeing the next generation cultivate the skills and knowledge that built our economy, and we’re honored to be part of that experience through our scholarship program.
This application is for $1,000 to be awarded to the applicant and paid directly to the educational institution upon enrollment in the school semester. If in good standing, the applicant is eligible to re apply in the spring for an additional $1,000. Preference for scholarship recipient selection will be given to those pursuing a major in an agricultural related field of study.
Scholarship Requirements for Students
- Be pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture or have a significant background in the agricultural community and continuing to be a part of said community.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours)
- Oklahoma resident within 50 miles of the LO Ranch Arena

- Copy of high school or college transcript
- 1 Letter of Recommendation
- 500 word essay on the topic “What Role Does Agriculture Play in the Future of Oklahoma?”
- Be able to commit to below Scholarship Recipient Requirements (If conflict arises with breakfast &/or rodeo participation, arrangements/exceptions may be made with the Committee Chair.)
Recipient Requirements (if awarded)
- Be enrolled in at least 1 agriculture class per semester or maintain an active role in the
agricultural community in some capacity (club participation, farming/ranching, etc.) - Submit 1 headshot to be published in the Lawton Rangers media outlets by June 15th.
- Volunteer at the Lawton Rangers Breakfast (6 a.m.-10 a.m. on the first Saturday in August)
- Volunteer at 2 nights of Lawton Rangers Rodeo (Wednesday-Saturday; 2nd weekend in August) – taking tickets, selling programs, welcoming fans, etc.
- Submit transcript & proof of enrollment for re-application of funds for the Fall semester by June 1st annually, and for the Spring semester by January 1st annually. Must have successfully completed previous semester & maintained 3.0+ GPA.
