Our organization is all about bringing people together and bettering our community. As a local nonprofit, we support multiple organizations in the Lawton area with our time and resources. We’re passionate about our roots, and many of our efforts are focused on promoting western heritage and furthering agricultural education. Whether we’re volunteering at a local event or putting on the largest PRCA rodeo in the state, our ultimate goal is to help people, make our community a better place to live, and have fun doing it.
If you know the Rangers, you know the rodeo. As the largest Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo in Oklahoma, and ranked as one of the top 50 in the U.S., our annual rodeo is the highlight of our year. We host between 25,000 and 50,000 people over the course of just four nights. More than 400 highly skilled cowboys and cowgirls from across the country compete in barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, and other exciting events as part of the Lawton Rangers rodeo. You’ll see bull riders, bucking broncs, and some of the most gorgeous horses at their finest. Visit on Friday or Saturday, and you can even hit the dance floor at the end of the night to celebrate. There’s food, music, and a whole lot of fun, and if you’ve ever visited Lawton in August and wondered why the town was so quiet—it’s probably because everyone was at the rodeo.
